For those of you that are not familiar with the site Peopleofwalmart.com, I envy you. You probably still believe in the goodness of humanity.

For those of you that just love to check out photos of the patrons of America's favorite mega-store in all of their zany/disgusting/offensive/gravity defying glory you may appreciate this new iPhone application.

Not only will you be able to peruse the most recent Wal*Mart sightings, as well as their extensive archives, there is a built in feature that will allow you to take a picture and have it automatically uploaded to the site itself. Some things just have to be shared, and some things that should have never seen the light of day are going to be shared anyway, so do you part!

DC Comics Goes Digital

DC now stands for two things "Detective Comics" and now "Digital Comics" since they finally joined the digital comic’s movement. Like Marvel, Dark Horse and Image before them DC, the last major comics company holding out on digital comics, has realized that comic book readers and people that like technology are usually the same people.

The home of such iconic characters such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, DC Comics should have no trouble finding people who own iPads, iPhones and even the Sony PSP that want their comic fix without the paper cuts.

Each digital issue will cost you at most right now $2.99, and there are also many free comics. There is already a sizable catalog to choose from and even free previews to upcoming issues such as the milestone Superman#700. PSP digital comics can be found right on the Playstation Store while iPad and iPhone users will need to download the slick new DC Comics App.

Now all of the major comic companies have gone digital, and while buying your comics digitally does have its shortcomings (delays in release, no satisfying ink on your fingertips) it can only improve from here.

Do any of you read your comics digitally? I think it is perfect for something like the iPad, but the PSP and iPhone seem a little on the small side to make it worth my while.

Apple Gets In Your Face

That’s right, Apple just applied for a patent on a new dock for your iPhone that you wear on your face like some kind of ridiculous View-Master or what Apple likes to call a "Head-Mounted Display Apparatus for Retaining a Portable Electronic Device with Display." Look at those patent plans at the right. Ok, now stop laughing for a second and consider the following:

• Why?
• Is this legit?
• When can I get mine?
• Again, Why?

As for the why, Apple is not satisfied with any current head mounted devices and feels this new model will both be easier to wield and do away with redundant features. Yup, this should do the trick.

As for the legitimacy of this patent upon further inspection it was announced on April 1^st … not exactly the best time to unveil new products. But I would not put it past Apple to apply for a patent on this technology, as unnecessary as it may seem now, for its future applications.

If you are asking yourself, “These are totally rad, dude! Where can I get my hands on the hardware?” Then all I have to say to you is the 80’s called and they said they want to hang out on Friday and maybe see that new Schwarzenegger flick. Or you can just pick up some of these bad boys!

And in case you (like me and probably every other sane mind) are still wondering why, can you imagine somebody wearing this monstrosity on their face? I just hope these are real so I can watch Steve Job’s try to make these look cool.

Nota Bene: According to these extremely detailed plans the iPhone goes through the bridge of your nose. So is rhinoplasty covered in the warranty or what?
